The Tom Hopkins Adobe

In May of 1936, Western novelist, Tom Hopkins contracted with the Stubbs Brothers to build him an adobe home of an Indian-Mexican design. Hopkins sold the home to Mr. & Mrs. Sam Stocking in 1963. The Stockings then leased it to the Twentynine Palms Art Guild for two years after which the Guild had the option to buy it.
